Annabel Young (she/her) is a Saginaw Chippewa descendant, ajijaak/crane clan and grew up in Brooklyn, NY. She is a descendant of boarding school survivors who attended Carlilse Indian Industrial School and Mount Pleasant Boarding School.
Annabel comes to NABS with nonprofit experience, having sat on the marketing team at nonprofit Girls Write Now and previously working as the Communications Coordinator for Haudenosaunee Nationals. Annabel also previously worked for the American Indian and Indigenous Studies Program at Cornell as an Administrative Assistant, where she acted as the interim Residence Hall Director for Akwe:kon.
Annabel received her B.A. in English and American Studies from Cornell University, with minors in American Indian and Indigenous Studies and Inequality Studies.
