Ontario’s response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) report is to implement First Nation, Métis and Inuit culture and history into school curriculum. This curriculum was created with input from residential school survivors, First Nation, Métis, and Inuit communities. This will help all Canadian students understand the historical relationship between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people in Canada.
